Laserwave – Mazda RX-8

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:

BT-13 was the result of a research project using the Transformers’ most radical transformation method known as the “Transmuter”, recreated with the help of Earth’s science. Based on changes in quantum information within the constituent particles of matter, the body’s properties and configuration would morph accordingly. However, seeing as making this technology practically viable required a huge amount of both engineering and energy, the plans were put on hold. Having infiltrated the BT-13 research facility, Ravage improved on the research results and the facility’s equipment, using it to bring Laserwave back to life.

A commercially available Mazda car was used as the guinea bot and therefore equipped with the Transmuter device. The initial test plan was to transfer the scanned data from BT-08 Meister into the car unit in order to see whether it would mutate and reconfigure into a completely different robot unit. Installing Laserwave’s personality component along with the redesigned data into the base car unit caused it to change into a powerful BT Decepticon.
The designated weapon, Turbo Rifle, is a high output laser gun equipped with a sophisticated energy supercharger. Aside from functioning as a separate weapon, the stock can also be stored with the unit mounted on the left upper arm, thus becoming an amplifier that increases the power for the arm gun. With the added amplifier, its destructive power can rival even that of his original body’s ray- gun mode.

STORY OF BINALTECH – CHANGING LANE

Despite the Alliance’s desperate investigations, Ravage continued to set his plans to alter history in motion. However, the steps he took in order to initiate his plan were incomprehensible to anyone else. Hijacking Wheeljack’s shuttle which was temporarily returning to base, Ravage landed on the devastated Decepticon territory in search of the remnants of the “Kronosphere”, a time machine once developed by Laserwave.

Shortly afterwards, determined to deliver the final blow on the Autobots who were on the verge of defeat, Megatron commanded his fleet of mobile fortresses to commence the assault. Realizing they could not hold their ground on Cybertron any longer, Optimus Prime reached a decision and was about to order his forces to retreat to their moon bases. Just at that moment, the approaching armada of warships was suddenly surrounded by a large sphere of light and then disappeared without a trace. Ravage had managed to repair the Kronosphere and now used it on Megatron and his main assault force, transporting them into a rift in the space-time continuum and sealing them there. Their leader and half their forces gone, the remaining Decepticons were unable to hold back the Autobots’ counterattack and thus were quickly defeated. This outcome of the final battle of the year 2005 was different from the original course of history and ended with the defeat of the Decepticons. As Ravage activated the time machine’s automated homing device, he uttered, “For the future of all Decepticons. In time, a great darkness shall come, and there is no one who can stop it. Might as well let the Autobots face it alone, and when everyone has been weakened by the disastrous battle, Megatron shall return again!”
