| Additional Toy Info Gold Bumblebee was first revealed at Cybertron Con 2010. He is a redeco of Legends Class Bumblebee, in a paint scheme that is a direct homage to Generation 1 Goldbug, who was himself an upgraded Bumblebee. Packaging calls him Gold Bumblebee rather than Goldbug, both due to trademark reasons and also for brand recognition of the character of Bumblebee. Official images sometimes show the legs as unpainted gold plastic - the final release goes with the blue of the initial official images. Available at international retail (Asia, Europe and Australia) in early 2011, then at online retailers in the US and then finally at discount chains such as Marshalls in mid-2011. | |
