The majority of releases of Night Ops Bumblebee feature the packaging calling the toy "Night Ops Bumblebee" with the packaging artwork showing an original deco yellow Bumblebee. A less common variant with the art in the actual toy colors exists, mainly being sighted in Singapore.

To add confusion, official promotional photos of the packaging show the packaging art in the toy's colors, but give the toy name as simply "Bumblebee". To our knowledge, this particular packaging variation never made it to market.

Name is given as "Night Ops Bumblebee" on the packaging.

First released in August 2015, alongside the Wave 5 Robots in Disguise Legion assortment. The wave that Night Ops Bumblebee was intended to debut in, wave 4, was sighted at US retail in September 2015.
