Longarm (Shattered Glass)

Longarm is a field officer and forensic analyst in the Autobot Secret Police answerable directly to Nightbeat. While typically aloof and distant, his behavior lately has become even more severe and secretive. He tends to disappear for long stretches, and concoct the flimsiest of excuses for his whereabouts. While this could be cause for concern, Nightbeat has always had the utmost faith in his abilities. Such confidence may be misplaced, however, as Longarm furtively believes that he could lead the Autobots to ultimate victory, and occasionally refers to himself (if only in his internal monologue) as "Longarm Prime".

Abilities - Like all Autotroopers, Longarm shares a body frame with his brother officers. This serves serveral purposes. It makes it difficult for the enemy to identify individuals for reprisal; it tends to disguise the actual number of officers in the ranks, and also makes repairs quick and easy. He possesses average strength and speed, but Longarm's logic centre seems to have been enhanced by unknown means. His weapon is capable of utilizing wavelengths from across the electromagnetic spectrum, from visible light to x-rays.

Weaknesses - Longarm's recent behavior makes his fellow officers reluctant to assist him in the field. His reliance on logic sometimes causes him to be confounded with situations out of the ordinary. His ambition can blind him to situations of more immediate importance... or perhaps one of his optic units is just on the fritz.
