| Additional Toy Info Rodimus is Alternator #27 and was first released at San Diego’s Comic-Con at the end of July 2007. He was an exclusive figure at the convention. However, the following Monday morning after the show ended, Rodimus was also made available for a limited time on HasbroToyShop.com, where he quickly sold out. He is a repaint of the Japanese Kiss Player Hot Rodimus mold and a retool/redeco of Alternator Mirage. The head sculpt is the same as the Kiss Player version, keeping the cool visor intact. Some of the differences between Alt. Rodimus and the Kiss Player include: the removal of the stripes across the top of the vehicle and changing the stripes on the side from white to yellow. There are now Hot Rod-style flames on the hood and front guards of the vehicle. Furthermore, the license plate now reads “TOO HOT”. Interestingly enough, the instruction booklet that was included with Alt. Rodimus actually calls the figure “Rodimus Prime”, which was most likely just a typo. Alt. Rodimus came in “fish bowl” style packaging. | |
