|Function: Military Operations Commander|
As the US version of Alternators lacked specific fiction or character bios, we can only look to Japan's version of Alternators, Binaltech, which came with character cards and bio information by Hirofumi Ichikawa, the information presented here is from the English translation by Doug Dlin.
Second in power only to Megatron himself, Shockblast is ruled by pure logic. As a result of Battle Ravage's tampering with time, his original body was destroyed.
Battle Ravage, using a transmutor and scans of BT-08 Meister's schematics transformed an ordinary Mazda RX-8 into a new body for Shockblast.
Shockblast can manipulate any electromagnetic wavelength and fire them from his left arm in the form of various energy weapons, he can project up to five holographic images of himself and is capable of flight in robot mode.
Battle Ravage's resurrection of Shockblast was part of an elaborate plan to change the course of history, taking Megatron and much of the decepticon forces out of the picture and putting Shockblast in command of a weakened decepticon army, leaving only the Autobots to deal with a "great darkness" looming in the near future.
