Generation 2 Sideswipe was the controversial Botcon 2010 customizing class figure, igniting discontent within the fandom that such a beloved redeco of a beloved character would be limited to less than 100 pieces.

(It is worth nothing that Brian Savage and the rest of the Fun Publications crew had no intention of making a Generation 2 Sideswipe for the Botcon 2010 set, and upon seeing the reaction online said they would look into a possible wider release for the character, in a slightly altered deco so not to invalidate the original version offered at Botcon 2010.)
