|Function: Munitions Expert|
As the US version of Alternators lacked specific fiction or character bios, we can only look to Japan's version of Alternators, Binaltech, which came with character cards and bio information by Hirofumi Ichikawa.
Swindle, known as a "one bot black market" had originally developed the weaponized cosmic rust that was responsible for the BT project in the first place.
Outwardly good natured and laid back, this hides his true inner greedy and self centered opportunistic nature. Swindle had his name put near the top in the list of Decepticons to be converted to Binaltech bodies, even though many of them were in far more grave condition than he was.
The body former Combaticon swindle inhabits was intended for an Autobot, the facility where it was being developed as well as it's project team was taken over by Decepticons who forced them to finish what was to be BT-09.
Some of the unit's systems were left offline, including a force field emitter and jamming wave transmission panels. Instead he has equiped himself with a gyro gun, which can afflict a Transformer's balance as well as a scatter blaster built into the engine shaped panels on his upper arms. Swindle escaped the facility his stolen body was constructed in right after his operational tests were complete and was not supplied with weapons by the EDC, instead, he constructed them himself from a cache of materials he had kept for himself.
