| Additional Toy Info Windblade is the result of the Hasbro "Fan Built Bot" campaign. An initial fan vote hosted on Transformers.com in April 2013 determined Windblade's faction, alternate mode, signature weapon, color scheme and personality. A second round in May 2013 built on this, with a fan vote to determine the gender, Cybertronian city of origin, special abilities and the character's name. The result is an airborne female Autobot, who was first teased at Botcon 2013 and then revealed at San Deigo Comic Con 2013. Her name was also included in a list of toys planned for release in the Generations toyline in 2014, which was leaked via the Hasbro Customer Services site in late October 2013, confirming the manner of her release. | |
